 "Old, Familiar Faces" will be auctioned along with many other paintings, on FRIDAY June 17, 2011 to help raise money for the The American Cancer Society "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer".   It is 12" x 12" Acrylic on stetched canvas.  There are so many places and faces that we ALL hope to see for the first time or once more before life is over.   An end to this horrible disease before  the  year 2006 would've given  40,820 American women who died from breast cancer in that year, so many more opportunities to see the faces and places that they loved and hoped to see for so many years to come.

"Hope Leads" by Brian K. Raynor

I painted "Hope Leads" to support the American Cancer Society via Project Art Aid. It will debut as part of a HEART MOSAIC at the American Cancer Society’s Survivor’s Dinner, to be held on June 17th 2011 at the Wachovia Atrium in Charlotte, NC. 100 paintings by 100 artist will make up the HEART MOSAIC. All ARTWORK will be sold/auctioned to raise money to help win the battle against breast cancer.

I painted "Hope Springs Eternal" over the weekend. I'm usually not happy with my late Winter/early Spring paintings but I am okay with my first two paintings in 2011. "So Many Roses" by Brian K Raynor

I painted "So Many Roses" in 2009. We often wait to send ROSES or flowers when someone has died. How often do we send them to the LIVING? We only have SO MANY opportunities to send so many ROSES to let so many people know that they are special to us. I donated "So Many Roses" to help raise money for charitywater.org. So many people will die or become sick from drinking unclean water unless so many people who have so much compassion and abundance give,... so MUCH.

A nearsighted guy, looking at several of my paintings asked me if someone commissioned me to paint Raggedy Ann for a kids room. I was dumbfounded and then a bit disconcerted when I realized he was referring to this painting. Being nearsighted myself, I laughed later that night when I looked at it without my contact lenses and I could see how he could possibly see,... Raggedy Ann.
