"Pear Trio" by Brian K. Raynor

The ancient Chinese believed that the pear was a symbol of immortality because pear trees live for a long time. In Chinese the word "li" means both "pear" and "separation," and for this reason, they say that to avoid separation, friends and lovers should not divide pears between themselves.

I painted "PEAR TRIO" a few years ago. It is a small painting. Acrylic on canvas board.

Hmm, Brilliant thoughts,...I got nothing at this moment. I suppose that means I should get out and do something. The hour may be too late for anything worth mentioning but tomorrow is another day!

Time gets away from me. I'm so busy that absentmindedness is an everyday thing.



Since December 31st, I've had the same Birthday card sitting on my kitchen table waiting to be mailed for a January 3rd birthday .

I've been meaning to bring a notebook from the backseat of my car into the house for 2 weeks now.

I've been meaning to check my lottery numbers for days.

I know there's something else but I forget,... !!!!!

2008 In a Nutshell

The last day of the year. Nothing GREAT happened to me. I didn't travel to new destinations nor even to old destinations. I found out that some "friends" don't think too much of me and knowing that I realize I don't care too much for them.

I reached the highest weight of my life thus far. My brother in law had a heart attack and that whole situation is making me nuts. I got no pay raises nor promotions and I didn't win the lottery. I used up some vacation days 12/25-12/30. Slept wayyy too much and watched lotsa tv. It's 8pm and I just clocked out 15 minutes ago from work. In hindsight I'd rather have skipped 2008 all together.
