It's 26 degrees outside! How 'bout a little coffee to warm you up? I painted "It's Better! Pure Coffee" after seeing a picture like it in a book of Hatch posters that I bought in Nashville. I have always tried to keep the actual texture of my paintings smooth and posterlike. The other day I explained to someone that I have always tried to keep my artwork smooth because I'd only seen prints of paintings as a boy and for a long time I assumed the actual paintings were as smooth as a print.
