Pain in the *****!!

I've had to go to a chiropractor the past 3 days. That's a $50 co-pay, per visit, with my insurance. My lower back is feeling better. It has been crippling pain the past week. Today, I was talking to the coworker who recommended the chiropractor and I told her about my co-pay (She only has a $20 co-pay) but she said the chiropractor only charges $40 per visit for people without insurance.! Why would the chiropractor allow me to pay more than necessary? I don't like forking out extra money!... because when you get right down to it I don't have EXTRA money!

You're spending money that doesn't need to be spent. Believe me, I have back issues too. Pop your own back!

Switch to self pay and tell them to lower the rate. I have been going to the chiro for a few months now, and I went from not being able to get out of bed to almost full mobility. I do have arthritis and a few bulging discs, so I am going to get cortosone next week. If it helps in the short term, I would keep doing it. But you may want to go to a orthopedic specialist. -Treat
