"Abundant Treasure" by BRIAN K RAYNOR

I love crows. Everytime I hear them caw, I think of a grandfather who has been long gone for many years.

"Barred Owl" by Brian K. Raynor

I painted "Barred Owl" on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  My friends Douglas and Amy Patterson have a family of Barred Owls that have nested on their property for a couple years now.   I sometimes hear owls at night but never see them around my house.   I do see doves, crows, cardinals and an occasional band of wild turkeys but never an owl.

"Hope Leads" by Brian K. Raynor

I painted "Hope Leads" to support the American Cancer Society via Project Art Aid. It will debut as part of a HEART MOSAIC at the American Cancer Society’s Survivor’s Dinner, to be held on June 17th 2011 at the Wachovia Atrium in Charlotte, NC. 100 paintings by 100 artist will make up the HEART MOSAIC. All ARTWORK will be sold/auctioned to raise money to help win the battle against breast cancer.

"Hope Leads" is B4. Second Row - Fourth Column.

I dropped "Hope Leads" off today at Mint Hill Arts today. Saw some very awesome artwork that will be part of this event.

"Hope Springs Eternal" by Brian K. Raynor

I painted "Hope Springs Eternal" over the weekend. I'm usually not happy with my late Winter/early Spring paintings but I am okay with my first two paintings in 2011. "Hope Springs Eternal" is 12" x 12" Acrylic on stretched canvas. It is being donated via Project Art Aid to the American Cancer Society and will debut at the American Cancer Society’s Survivor’s Dinner, to be held on June 17th 2011 at the Wachovia Atrium in Charlotte, NC.

"Rooster Red" by Brian K Raynor

There has been a runaway chicken hanging around my workplace this week. It looked more hennish than roosterish.

I painted "Rooster Red" for some multigenerational, multicultural, multimedial (?) event a few years ago. Reminds me of Mexican Folk Art.

"Hahn im Garten" by Brian K Raynor

"Hahn im Garten" by Brian K. Raynor

I painted "Hahn im Garten" several years ago. It is small. It hung in On Common Grounds (Concord, NC) for a while. Sold it to the same guy who bought "A Rooster" or to the guy who bought "Sage Rooster". I can't remember the details,... except that it was at one of the Rockabilly BBQ's (Charlotte, NC). I was trying to teach myself to speak German around that time. I just found the image today on another website and thought I'd POST IT for posterities sake.

Here is a cocky little rooster. Painted a few years ago. Sold 2 years ago at the Rockabilly BBQ. I think some guy named Darryll bought it.

"6 Birds" by Brian K Raynor

I painted "6 Birds" in 2009. Warhol inspired? Probably. It is small. Haven't sold it yet. Someday,...I am hopeful. This year,... I am HOPEFUL.
